Two-day workshops in Montreal designed specifically for business owners over 50 who need practical digital skills without the tech jargon or judgment. Small groups, patient instructors, and real-world applications.
You spent decades building something real. Meeting clients face-to-face, keeping physical records, doing things the way they'd always been done. Then suddenly everyone's talking about cloud storage, Zoom meetings, and digital invoicing like they're second nature.
It's not that you can't learn these tools. It's that nobody's taking the time to explain them in plain language, without making you feel like you should already know this stuff.
That's exactly what we do at Global Back Center. We teach the digital skills you actually need, at a pace that makes sense, with instructors who remember what it's like to learn something completely new.
Practical skills you can use immediately in your business. No theory, no fluff, no pretending you're going to become a tech expert overnight.
Stop losing files. Learn how to save documents where you can access them from anywhere, share them with others, and never worry about losing your computer again. We'll cover Dropbox, Google Drive, and which one actually fits your workflow.
Master Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams without the panic. We'll practice joining meetings, sharing your screen, muting yourself at the right times, and handling those inevitable technical hiccups with confidence.
Let clients book their own appointments without the phone tag. We'll set up a simple scheduling system that syncs with your calendar, sends reminders automatically, and saves you hours every week.
Create professional invoices, track payments, and stop chasing paper receipts. We'll show you simple tools that make billing faster and help you get paid on time, every time.
Learn when you really need a physical copy and when digital is actually easier. We'll help you organize digital files so you can find what you need faster than shuffling through filing cabinets.
Password management that doesn't require a PhD. Understanding what's actually risky and what's just paranoia. Protecting your business information without turning into a cybersecurity expert.
Maximum eight participants per workshop. Everyone gets individual attention, and we move at the pace of the group, not some arbitrary schedule.
If an instructor uses a term you don't understand, stop them. That's literally what they're there for. We explain everything in plain language, and we never assume you know the basics.
Bring your laptop, tablet, or phone. You'll learn on the actual equipment you use every day, not some generic training computer. When you leave, you'll know exactly how to do everything on your own setup.
We use examples from actual small businesses. No corporate case studies, no Silicon Valley startups. Just practical applications for people running real companies in the real world.
Our workshop space is on Rue Hutchison in Montreal's Outremont neighborhood. Easy parking, comfortable chairs, strong coffee, and reliable wifi. The room is designed for learning, not impressing anyone.
We keep the space small and informal. Round tables instead of classroom rows. Natural light. Room to spread out your laptop and notes. Everything you need to focus on learning without distraction.

If you're wondering about it, someone else definitely is too.
That's exactly who these workshops are for. We've taught people who had never used email before. If you can turn on your computer and click a mouse, you're qualified. The whole point is learning from scratch, and we've structured everything around that reality.
Bring whatever devices you actually use in your business. Laptop, tablet, phone, whatever. If you have multiple devices, bring them all so we can help you set things up to work together. We provide wifi, coffee, and all the training materials. You just need your devices and a willingness to ask questions.
The workshops are designed as a complete two-day experience, with Day Two building on what you learned in Day One. We really encourage attending both days to get the full benefit. If you absolutely need to miss one day, reach out and we'll discuss options, but the experience works when you're there for the whole thing.
Not very. We focus on using tools, not understanding how they work under the hood. You won't learn coding or anything like that. Think of it like learning to drive: you need to know how to operate the car, not how the engine works. Everything is practical and immediately applicable to running your business.
You'll leave with a comprehensive guide covering everything we taught, written in the same plain language we use in person. You can also email us with questions after the workshop. We're not a 24/7 help desk, but we'll do our best to point you in the right direction if you get stuck.
Great! You'll probably learn new ways to use tools you already know, plus fill in gaps you didn't realize were there. Many participants come in with partial knowledge and leave with a much more complete understanding. And honestly, helping others in the group is part of the learning process for everyone.
Our next workshop series starts soon. Small groups fill up quickly because we genuinely keep them small. If you're tired of pretending you understand this stuff and ready to actually learn it, let's talk.
No pressure, no sales pitch. Just a conversation about whether this workshop makes sense for where you're at with technology right now.
